Taizé Worship on Wednesday |
|
|
|
September 8, 6:00 pm
We are launching a new monthly worship experience on Wednesday September 8th at 6:00pm. We will be worshipping in the Chapel on the second Wednesday of every month. Here are the central purposes of this worship time:
- To set aside a time for quiet reflection and prayer
- To participate in intercessory prayer for others
- To celebrate Holy Communion focusing on the words in the liturgy
- To reflect and meditate on a Bible passage
- Worshiping in the setting of our Chapel
- Worshiping on a week day and at evening time
If any of these ideas appeal to you I urge you to come and to invite a friend to come with you. I pray we will find blessings in God’s presence.

Christmas in October - Afternoon Tea |
|
|
|
October 17, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
The CUMC Queen of Tea is going to have a tea party! Dress up in your best Christmas dress and join other ladies, young and old, at an elegant tea with our own Tea Queen, Lady Elizabeth and her Tea Consort, Dame Pamela.
We will have hosted tables by our own Ladies in Waiting providing beautifully decorated tables and beautiful special tea sets. This will be a wonderful way to enjoy something special with your own girls, mothers, girlfriends, or sisters. Special teas, scones with clotted cream, finger sandwiches and desserts will fill the tables as we begin the swing into preparing for the real Christmas celebration - the birth of the Christ Child.
Lady Elizabeth will tell tales of how ‘high tea’ became an art form and how to brew and serve tea in your own home. Everything from heating the pot to whether you really have to raise your pinky finger when sipping.
If you would like to be a Hostess for this special all church event please contact Sally Bell (
